CURSE OF THE DARYAW
So why a T-shirt about the wreck of the Daryaw you ask? Well for one, it's a great Canadian shipwreck. And secondly, let's just say that myself and another diver who I'll call Paul have had our fair share of bad luck on that wreck. It seems every time we dove the Henry C. Daryaw together, there was some equipment malfunction that led to an aborted dive ... people in the dive club started to say that we were cursed! It became my Moby Dick. This went on for years. Even when I dove it with other partners, strange things would happen. Joe P. thought I was slightly nuts when I insisted on finishing a dive with one fin ... damn the torpedoes, dive on ... common sense prevailed on that one and we surfaced ala uno fin. So with all this weird karma, I thought I would commemorate the Daryaw with a T-shirt. It seemed kind of fitting to pay homage to the great monster comics of the 70's. Thusly, this shirt is a vivisection of 70's schlock horror and current day bad scubajuju. I also thought it might make a nice souvenir shirt for any American's who come up to dive the Brockville area. Funny though... they always seem dissappointed when they don't see the gi-normous killer squid? And so that kids is the tale of dreaded Daryaw. ... Epilogue ... and oh yes, thankfully, there have been many successful dives on this wreck for your humble narrator
